COUNTDOWN TO EVENT:

WELCOME MESSAGE from Organising Chairperson

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Singapore Society of Neuro-Oncology (SSNO), welcome to our inaugural Annual Scientific Meeting, taking place in 30 – 31 October 2026 at NUHS Tower Block.

This is our first local scientific meeting as a society. That makes it more than a conference — it is the start of a community.

Neuro-oncology sits at the intersection of many specialties. Neurosurgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, neuropathology and neuro-radiology each bring a different lens to the same patient. We felt it was time to bring these lenses together, in one room, in Singapore.

Over two days, we hope to do exactly that.

  1. Day 1 is built around hands-on workshops across the specialties. To end, we will work through real clinical cases from local and regional institutions, followed by a panel discussion on where our approaches converge—and where they don't.

  2. Day 2 (AM) opens the floor to the wider science. We have a full programme of neuro-oncology talks, alongside scientific sessions for abstract presentation, with prizes and awards for the top submissions.

Our first goal for this meeting is simple: to give local clinicians and scientists in neuro-oncology a shared platform — one we haven't had before. Our second goal looks outward — to open the door to our regional colleagues, and start building the kind of collaboration that a field this complex needs.

We look forward to welcoming you in October, and to what this meeting will grow into in the years ahead.

Yours Sincerely,
